About Me

I'm a Scientist in the Neuroscience Department at Genentech and a graduate of the bioinformatics PhD program at the University of California San Francisco. I'm broadly interested in the self-organization of biological systems, as well as synthetic and systems biology.

My graduate work in the Weiner Lab focused on developing smart microscopy and optogenetic approaches to better understand the role of local negative feedback in regulating cell migration. In brief, we found that local negative feedback enabled cells to respond to the local rate of increase of PIP3, an important regulator of cell polarity.
